Through these academic gatherings, we continue to create spaces for discussing HIV in general, and perinatal and pediatric HIV in particular. Knowledge is shared with experts, and information is provided regarding scientific advances related to the epidemic, as well as health policies, protocols, and its broader impact.
Health and social science professionals from various specialties—including infectious disease specialists, psychologists, social workers, nutritionists, nurses, and health educators—have participated in these events, alongside national entities such as the Ministry of Health and the Bogotá Health Secretariat, and international organizations like UNAIDS, UNICEF, and UNHCR, among others.
Private companies involved in healthcare also participate as sponsors.
These experiences have enriched and strengthened interdisciplinary work with multiple partner organizations dedicated to children and HIV—such as Planeta Amor.

“Life Lessons”
(Lecciones de vida)
As the years go by, why not go back in time and revisit past moments that bring us surprises? That is how, in 2023, several prominent Colombians from that era agreed to share the experiences that had marked their lives to support our cause.
“What is the life lesson you remember the most?” was the question asked to 115 Colombian personalities, whose answers are featured in the book. Rarely do so many distinguished figures come together to impart a life lesson to their readers.
The book Lecciones de Vida was made possible thanks to people who believed in our work and who, at the time, held positions in various sectors of national life.
